Modern brewery located directly on the historic market square ‘Altmarkt’ in Cottbus, serving German-Bavarian cuisine. In summer, guests can enjoy the unique atmosphere of the wonderful beer garden on the historic market square in the centre of town. The restaurant seats 120 people on two levels. Among the hearty regional meals served are fresh ‘Hackepeter’ (seasoned minced pork), Spreewald-style horseradish schnitzels, crispy roasted pork knuckle, and in autumn the popular boiled knuckle of pork ‘Eisbein’ served with Spreewald-style sauerkraut. A glass of tasty home-brewed Zwickelbier is the perfect match for a hearty dish. Original Paulaner Oktoberfest beer is on tab in September and October. St. Martin’s geese are served every year, starting in November and marking the start of the pre-Christmas period. All important football matches aired on Sky are shown live on two big screens.
