Tourist attractions

The village of Vetschau is located on the margins of the Spreewald. In the historic centre is the Wendish-German twin church: built over the course of five centuries, it is a unique structure. Just a stone’s throw away is Vetschau Palace, built on the site of what was originally a 16th century moated castle. Behind the palace is the palace park with its botanical treasures. In Vetschau there is also the Lower Lusatian White Stork Centre. Here, extensive exhibitions and demonstration facilities provide a wealth of interesting information about the stork. Other sections are dedicated to otters, hornets and other Spreewald fauna.
