Tourist attractions

Slawenburg Raddusch is a reconstructed Slavic fort from the 9th / 10th century and now primarily the home for one of the most modern exhibitions in Germany about “Archaeology in the Lower Lusatia Region”. Here you can explore the artefacts found through archaeological excavations which were carried out in advance of opencast mining. The visitors get a fantastic impression and a better understanding of the former living environment thanks to reconstructions, additional material or animations. Children will enjoy a small action area within the exhibition. The Outdoor area shows the history of Lower Lusatia during the past 12.000 years on a long pedestrian bridge. Different sceneries and a playground for children let you enjoy your stay.
