Guided nature and landscape tours

52 of the 68 dragonfly species recorded in Brandenburg occur in the Spreewald biosphere reserve.  Many of these large, iridescent insects are under threat of extinction, however.
The Dragonfly Park located directly at Raddusch Naturhafen raises awareness of this problem,: here, visitors both young and old can see the world through the eyes of a dragonfly and watch for themselves how these graceful flying artists “land” on a leaf. With its information and teaching panels integrated in the natural surroundings, this project makes an important contribution to environmental education.
The natural but firm path leads from Raddusch Naturhafen harbour along the Raddusch punting tour in the direction of Kaupen. A pedestrian bridge (culvert) is at the planning stage: this will make it possible to walk back on the other side of the river. There is seating in an adjacent meadow with a view of the exotic animals of the Alpaca Finca in the village where you can relax. Immerse yourself in the silence of the Spreewald, observe rare birds such as the kingfisher and enjoy the sight of old pollarded willows as well as the water lilies that add a distinctive, authentic touch.
In addition, there is a public space for artists along the path on the theme “Nature is sensitive”. The Dragonfly Trail aims to serve as a “branch” of the Radduscher Kunstscheune.
