Lübbenau is the biggest and also one of the best-known towns of Spreewald Forest. The ‘secret capital of Spreewald Forest’, as Theodor Fontane described the town, is a popular starting point for a wide range of activities: How about a typical Spreewald punting tour, a sporty canoe or paddle boat tour, or simply a stroll across the historic town centre?
The tourist information centre is located in the historic community centre in the heart of town, in immediate vicinity of the castle and the harbour facilities. The service range includes advice and information about activities in the area around Lübbenau and all over Spreewald Forest, as well as accommodation services, guided tours and cycle tours. Events and tickets can also be booked here.
The staff members of the tourist information centre are also happy to help planning and organising group programmes, tour guides and day trips to Berlin, Potsdam, Dresden and other places.
Maps and products from Spreewald Forest are also sold in the modern facility.
