Built in 1911 as a high school city, it became the Upper Lyceum in 1928. It is kept in clear late art nouveau forms. The style relationship with the theater building (State Theater Cottbus) is clearly recognizable. The Cottbus Conservatory is a public music school supported by the city of Cottbus. The training takes place from early musical education to the preparation for studies, whereby playing music together is offered as a free supplement to the main subject lessons. The conservatory presents itself in numerous events with an art nouveau concert hall as an attractive concert organizer. Tickets for the concerts of the "little" stars are available in the CottbusService, part. 0355 75 42 444.
