The Tuchmacherbrunnen is a listed fountain in Cottbus. It is located on the city wall near the courthouse and was created between 1937 and 1938 by the Hamburg sculptor Richard Kuöhl from sandstone and bronze. The fountain bowl with a column inside sits on a stone base. This is surrounded by a ring made of bronze, the portraits of which represent four sections of the cloth production (grazing sheep, processing the wool on the spinning wheel, weaving on the loom, the cloth trade). The fountain basin itself bears the inscription: "An honest craft is honored, the good cloth works and shears"
