The small bathing lake north of Burg (Spreewald) was created in the 1970s. The lake was given a new inflow in 2010 and is continuously supplied with fresh water, so the water quality is excellent. At its deepest point the lake is about two metres deep. Around the lake there are numerous bathing areas with extensive sandy beaches, surrounded by birch trees. There are also sunbathing lawns. Seating is also provided, and the facilities also include a nature play area.
The lake is easy to get to via the small country road on the western shore of the lake. There are parking facilities and public transport stops.
In 2025 a beachvolleyball net, a playground and a public toilet were added. (For the use of toilets a 50-cents-coin is required.) Visitors access the beach via two newly built wooden bridges.
