Stork Club Whiskey Distillery

The idyllic floodplain landscape of the Spreewald, resembling a river delta, stretches 60 kilometers south of Berlin. The lowlands with their unique microclimate offer the best conditions for maturing whiskey. Here, in the middle of a biosphere reserve, is the STORK CLUB whiskey distillery in the picturesque village of Schlepzig, which was founded in 2004 and taken over by the “Spreewood Distillers” in 2016. The distillery is the oldest whiskey distillery in Brandenburg and the first rye whiskey distillery in Germany. With the takeover of the distillery in autumn 2016, the three founders Sebastian Brack, Bastian Heuser and Steffen Lohr's long-held dream of having their own spirits factory came true. In addition to STORK CLUB Rye Whiskey, the team also produces organic quality Rye Gin and other exclusive specialties made from Brandenburg rye. In 2017 and 2021, STORK CLUB RYE WHISKEY was named "Best Whiskey National" by the ISW, and in 2019 it was named "World's Best Rye Whiskey" at the World Whiskey Awards.

The idyllic courtyard garden or the barge terrace invite you to linger with a cocktail. Regular tours and tastings complement the STORK CLUB distillery's offerings.
