Route description:
The starting point of the Nordic Walking Tour is Lübben Schlossinsel, the tourist centre of the town. After you have passed Gurken Paule and crossed the bridge called Große Brücke, keep right and walk around Schlossinsel. The path leads you past the maze, the Garten der Sinne and the aquatic playground. Now leave Schlossinsel by crossing the large Spree bridge and turn right to the Neue Wehr. After crossing the street, walk along Dreilindenweg as far as Frankfurter Strasse. Cross the street at the pedestrian lights and enter the bird sanctuary. Cross the Roter Nil over a bridge after about 300 metres further on. Along the dyke you now follow the flood channel as far as the next crossroads. Follow the road straight ahead and turn right at the end of the road. You will reach the former Gut Wiesenau after approximately 1.5 kilometres: continue to follow the path and take the first left into a forest path. This leads to Kleinbahnstrasse, where you walk along the hard shoulder to the end, before turning right and then immediately left. Soon you will see the small bridge over the Roter Nil and arrive back at the starting point of the tour.
