Directions:
- Public transport: From Berlin central station take the RE2 (Cottbus) to Vetschau. From Vetschau, take bus 38 (Burg Hotel Bleske) and get off at Burg Schule.
- Car: Leave Berlin via the A113 and A13 heading south-east and drive in the direction of Cottbus/Dresden/Forst until you reach Dreieck Spreewald. Continue on the A15 in the direction of Cottbus/Forst/Wroclaw as far as Vetschau and continue through small villages until you reach Burg.
- Parking: Car park at Festplatz

Route description:
This route combines the experience of a vibrant health resort with pure outdoor pleasure in the Spreewald. Smaller farms and other buildings appear along the pathway from time to time, but the region around Burg im Spreewald is excellent for hiking.
The tour is excellent but can be a challenge for dog owners. If you encounter farm animals on the pastures near the path, special care and consideration is required.
During the period from October to March, the hike is stress-free for dogs, too. In the high season, the town and the surrounding area attract lots of visitors.
