Lübbenau Barzlin Tour

On this canoe tour, visitors can explore the Barzlin nature reserve on their own starting from the Spreewald town of Lübbenau. With a surface area of about four hectares, the Barzlin protrudes about one metre out of the lowlands like an island. Excavations have shown that there was a settlement here as long as 3,000 years ago. Today the Barzlin nature reserve is home to rare plants and animals. The tour runs through four locks, some of which are self-operated. On the tour, you will see dragonflies as you glide along the reed-covered banks of the river, while the croaking of frogs fills the air and high trees are reflected in the water.
