First Stage “Spree Cycle Path”: Spremberg - Cottbus

The first stage of Brandenburg section of the Spree Cycle Path reaches the state of Brandenburg south of Spremberg. The 27-kilometre section takes you through Spremberg and then along the Spremberg dam to the Lausitz city of Cottbus.

How to get there: Take the RE2 from Berlin central station to Cottbus. Continue on from here taking the OE65 to Spremberg (about 3 hours).

Return journey: From Cottbus, take the RE2 (Wittenberge) regional express train to Berlin central station (about 1.5 hours).
