Restaurant "Quappenschänke"

The ‘Quappenschänke’ inn re-opened in early summer 1995. The name is a reminder of the old village inn of the same name that was destroyed by a fire in 1898. The animals that can be hunted in Spreewald Forest are presented in the big hunting lounge. Enjoy venison dishes from our own hunting and original Spreewald fish dishes on a typical Spreewald punt or on our covered and heated waterside terrace. The inn that is also referred to as the ‘Quappe’ (‘burbot’) is all about the fishing traditions for which Spreewald Forest has been famous since ancient times.
